Paua Series

The lustrous and colourful paua shell of Aotearoa / New Zealand has many uses and plays a special role in the hearts of New Zealand culture. The demand for this type of painting has been very popular and it was my paua shell paintings that got my break into Fishers Gallery and I am also published in "The Acrylic Artist's Guide To Exceptional Colour" by Lexi Sundell for my use of luminescent acrylics. The images that are evoked by this painting are of the reflections of our waters. The blue and greens remind me of our seas, rivers, and lakes.
